William Daniel Miller, Jr., age 80 of 1192 W Mountain Rd, Hegins, Pa., died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2004, at his home. He was born June 15, 1924, in Fearnot, Pa., a son of the late William D. Miller, Sr. and Iva M (Klouser) Miller. He was an Army Veteran of World War II. He was a retired self employed Ceramic Tile Contractor. He was a member of St. Peter's United Methodist Church, Fearnot; where he was a former Sunday School Teacher and Superintendent. He was a member of Valley Lodge 797 F&AM, Valley View; the Sacramento Fire Company, and American Legion Post 575, Valley View. Surviving are his wife of 56 years Miriam A. (Lower) Miller; a son William D Miller,III and daughter in law Cathy R (Smith) Miller of Valley View; a grandson Benjamin S. Miller of Valley View; a granddaughter Greta L Kroh of Valley View; four brothers Lyle C Miller of Valley View, Ivan T Miller of R.D. Marysville, Mark L Miller of Millersburg, and Myles L Miller of Carlisle; and a sister Ethel A Kahler of Hegins. He was preceded in death by a brother Dean Miller. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 27, 2004, at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, with the Rev. William Danis officiating. Masonic services were held at 10 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. A Viewing was held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
