Click here to view the Video Tribute for Bill. William D Geist, age 54, of 122 Kenhorst Blvd, Reading, passed away Friday, August 2, 2013 at his residence. He was born on Thursday, December 4, 1958, in Pottsville, a son of the late Donald F and Lucille M Updegrave Geist. He was a 1976 graduate of Tri-Valley High School. He was the owner W D Geist Construction, Reading. Bill enjoyed all types of woodworking, sea turtle conservation, and trips to Mexico. He is survived by his wife Robyn M Hoffman Geist, to whom he was married for 35 years. He is also survived by two daughters Angela M Geist of Hegins, and Kristi L Duffy and her husband Thomas of Blandon; two grandsons Bryce Geist of Hegins and Noah Duffy of Blandon; a granddaughter Bella Rodichok of Hegins; a sister Luann Carpenter of Ephrata; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Tuesday, August 6, 2013, at 2:30 pm, with Rev. Brian Beissel officiating. A viewing was held from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
