Rev William V Fetrow, age 73, of 25 S 10th Street, Mahanoy City, passed away Monday, July 18, 2011 at the Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill. He was born on December 13, 1937 in Lewisberry, a son of the late John S. McKinley Fetrow, Sr. and the late Eva I Anderson Fetrow. He was a 1956 graduate of New Cumberland High School. He served in the US Navy. He was ordained by the Brethren in Christ Church in 1982. He retired from the Brethren in Christ Churches in 2001. During his retirement he was a part time minister at Salem Evangelical Congregational Church, Mahanoy City. He was preceded in death by a brother, John S.M. Fetrow, Jr, and a sister Alverna M Reigle. He is survived by his wife Ada R Haring Fetrow, to whom he was married for 49 years. He is also survived by two sons William T Fetrow of Fountain and Timothy E Fetrow of Minersville; a daughter, Denise L Shissler of Schuylkill Haven; thirteen grandchildren; and a sister, Beverly A Steigler of Harrington DE. Funeral services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home Valley View, on Friday, July 22, 2011 at 10:30 AM with Rev James Yoder officiating. A viewing was held from 9:00 am to 10:30 am on Friday at the funeral home. Burial was private in Riverview Memorial Gardens, Halifax. Condolences can be left for the family at www.buffingtonreed.com .
