Willard "Bill" Newton Harring, age 88, of 701 W Main St, Valley View, died Thursday, August 4th, 2005 at his residence. He was born in Pitman, Pa on November 1, 1916, a son of the late George and Della (Heim) Harring. He was the former Owner and Operator of Harring's Garage, Valley View for 18 years. He retired from Hallmark Homes Hegins, Pa. He was a member of St. Paul's E.C. Church Pitman, Pa. He was also a member F&AM Valley Lodge 797, Valley View, and the Harrisburg Consistory. He was a life member of the Valley View Fire Co and a member of the Woodmen of the World Camp 433, Pitman. Surviving are his wife Shirley Irene (Snyder) Harring, to whom he was married for 64 years Surviving in addition to his wife are a sister Pauline Snyder, Pitman, Pa. and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers Harry, LeRoy, and Frank Harring and by four sisters Gerturde Haas, Lottie Morgan, Irene Knerr, and Olive Knorr. Funeral services were held at Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, Pa. at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, August 8th, with Rev. Ken Schira officiating. A viewing was held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Masonic services were held at 7:15 p.m. Burial will be made at the convenience of the family in St. Paul's Cemetery Pitman, Pa..
