Willard L Clark, age 75, of 1743 W Main Street, Valley View, passed away Monday, June 13, 2011 at the Schuylkill Medical Center- E Norwegian, Pottsville. He was born on Tuesday, October 22, 1935, in Klingerstown, a son of the late Calvin and Mazie (Shadle) Clark. He worked as a coal miner for the former Herman Bixler Mining Co. He was a coal truck driver for Kenneth Bloch Hauling and Excavating and worked for twenty-seven years at Pine Creek Coal Company. He was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View. He was also a member of the Upper Mahantongo Hunting Club, Klingerstown, Erdman Sportsman's Association, and a former member of the Valley View Fire Company. Willard enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and playing with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Scott W Clark, a brother, Francis Clark, and a sister, Violet Maurer. He is survived by his wife Marie A (Bixler) Clark, to whom he was married for 52 years. He is also survived by a son Steve W Clark and his wife Kristi of Camp Hill; a daughter Loriann M Clark of Valley View; a grandson Wayne T Seiger of Donaldson; three granddaughters Amanda M Seiger of Valley View, Hailey N Clark of Camp Hill, and Kearsten L Clark and her parents Dale and Tina Tobin of Tremont; three great granddaughters Kendra Gerber of Tremont, Allyza Gerber of Tremont, and Addison Maurer of Valley View; a great grandson Todd Seiger of Pitman; three brothers James Clark of Elizabethville, Roy Clark of Klingerstown, and Dennis Clark of Klingerstown; three sisters Pauline Mace of Dornsife, Mae Neumeister of Millersburg, and Joan Bordner of Millersburg; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View, on Friday, June 17, 2011, at 2:00 pm, with Rev. Philip Sabas officiating. A viewing was held from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Friday at the church. Burial was made in St. Andrew's Cemetery, Valley View.
