Wilbur Joseph Kimmel, age 81, of Berkshire Center Reading, formerly of Shenandoah, died Monday, May 22nd, 2006 at Berkshire Center. He was born in Kefers on June 16, 1924, a son of the late Charles and Anna (Kimmel) Kimmel. He was a graduate of the former Porter Twp. High School. He served as a Tech 5 in the US Army during World War II serving in North Africa and Italy. He retired as a Chef Manager at Restora Foods- Congoluem Corp Markus Hook, Pa. He was a member of St. Casimir Roman Catholic Church Shenandoah, Pa. He was a former member Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley View. He was also a former member of the Knights of Columbus. His wife Leona M (Kulhawick) Kimmel died April 5, 2006 . He is survived by five sons Joseph C Kimmel, Downingtown, Michael W Kimmel, Clermont Fl, Charles L Kimmel, Barto, Francis Kimmel, Clermont Fl, and John P Kimmel, Doylestown; by three brothers Charles Kimmel, Pitman, David Kimmel, Valley View, and Leslie Kimmel, Tower City Pa; by a sister Donna Wetzel, Norristown; by 18 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Gerard Kimmel in 1985, by a sister Alma Moultrie in 2002, and by a brother George Kimmel in 2005. Funeral Mass was held at St. Casimir Roman Catholic Church, Shenandoah, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 30th, with Msg. Ronald Bocian officiating. Burial was made in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Valley View. Memorial Contributions can be made Trinity Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 153 Valley View PA 17983.
