Vera M. Bolich, age 89, of the Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center, formerly of Valley View, passed away Monday, October 18, 2010 at the center. She was born on Sunday, August 21, 1921, in Valley View, a daughter of the late Charles E Stutzman and Mamie M (Stiely) Stutzman. She was a 1939 graduate of the former Hegins Twp High School. She was employed as a seamstress and forelady for area garment factories and had retired from the former Philmark Mfg, Valley View. She was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View. She was also a member of ILGW Union and a member of the former Valley View CB Club. Vera enjoyed sewing and gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert J Bolich, Sr., in 1990. and by six brothers, Frank, Charles, Harry, Oscar, and Robert Stutzman and Luther Erdman; and four sisters, Blanche Kessler, Mary Coddington, Carrie Stutzman, and Annabell Stutzman She is survived by a son Herbert J Bolich, Jr and his wife Cathy of Bensalem; a grandson Chris Bolich of Quakertown; a granddaughter Cathy Higgins of Richboro; four great grandchildren; a sister Elsie Shadle of Valley View; and several nieces and nephews. Services were held at Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, with Rev. Philip Sabas officiating. Burial was made in St. Andrew's Cemetery, Valley View.
