Thomas Harry Umholtz
Thomas Harry Umholtz , age 70, of Valley View and Lingelstown, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Hershey Medical Center.
He was born on Saturday, March 9, 1946, in Hegins Township, a son of the late Lester Umholtz and Orpha Bixler Umholtz.
He was a graduate of Tri-Valley High School, Class of 1964, and graduated from Penn State University, with a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Education.
He was a custodian for Tri Valley High School and retired in 2008.
Thomas was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View.
Thomas loved woodworking with the old tools and methods of making things. He loved the local old furniture and history of the area. He had special interest in Model A's and T's.
He is survived by his wife Joyce C. (Spangler) Umholtz, to whom he was married for 15 years.
He is also survived by two sons, Kevin L. Seibert of Pine Grove, PA, Matthew L. Seibert of Lingelstown; one granddaughter, (Pappy's Princess); one brother, Jack Umholtz of Valley View; nephews, Matthew, Daniel, Umholtz of Valley View; nephew, Jeremiah Umholtz of Valley View and currently in Texas.
Private Services were held at the convenience of the family.
Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, was in charge of arrangements.
