Thomas Clark Johnson, age 90, of 648 Deep Creek Road, Hegins, formerly of Harrisburg and Greenfield, MA, passed away Monday, July 29, 2013 at his residence. He was born on Tuesday, January 9, 1923, in Atlanta, GA, a son of the late Thomas C and Eleanor B Garden Johnson. He served in the US Navy during World War II. Tom enjoyed reading military history and was an expert on World War II history. He was employed as an auto mechanic prior to his retirement. His wife Betty L Bickford Johnson passed away in 2011. He was also preceded in death by a brother Jack Johnson; and two sisters Marguerite Kinard and Betty Jean Pettit. He is survived by three daughters Mary Stowe of Brattleboro, VT, Deborah Richter of Hegins, and Ida Gales of Avon, CT; a son Thomas L Johnson of Paradise, CA; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; a brother Dr .Charles Johnson of Jonesboro, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
