Sarah Ellen Stutzman, age 90, of 1446 W Main St, Valley View, died Thursday, October 20th, 2005 at the Pottsville Hospital. She was born in Barry Twp, Schuylkill County, on September 27, 1915, a daughter of the late Oscar Noah and Laura (Bolich) Geist. She retired as a Shader from the former Valley View Enterprises Valley View. She was also a former Hegins Twp. Tax Collector. She was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View. Her husband Frank D Stutzman died April 19, 1981 She is survived by two sons Donald F husband of Dolores Stutzman, Hegins, and Melvin C husband of Brenda Stutzman, Hegins; two daughters Mary Alice wife of Richard Schlegel, East China, Mich., and Elaine S. wife of James P. Zerbe, Valley View; by 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren; and by nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son Elvin O Stutzman; by four brothers Charles, Earl, Arthur, and Ralph Geist; and by two sisters Edith Lord and Margaret Deeter. Funeral services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, at 11 A.M. on Monday, October 24th, with the Rev. Richard D. Schlegel officiating. A viewing was held at the funeral home on Sunday from 7 to 8 p.m. and on Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial was made in St. Paul's Cemetery, Sacramento, Pa.
