Sandra Lee Rhody, age 58, of 2107 E Main Street, Valley View, passed away Monday, June 13, 2011 at her residence. She was born on Monday, April 20, 1953, in Valley View, a daughter of the late Daniel A and Betty J (Wolfgang) Shade. She was a 1971 graduate of Tri-Valley High School. She was a seamstress for the former Philmark Mfg, Valley View. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley View. She was also a member of the Sacramento Community Fire Company. Sandy enjoyed sitting on her front porch watching the hummingbirds. She is survived by her husband Herman R Rhody, Jr, to whom she was married for 39 years. She is also survived by two sons Robert D Rhody and his wife Janet Williard of Avis and Ryan L Rhody of Valley View; a brother Dale Shade of Spring Glen; two sisters Alice Morgan of Valley View and Linda Stehr of Valley View; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Friday, June 17, 2011, at 11a.m., with Rev. Curtis Zemencik officiating.
