Sallie Salara Knorr. age 79, of 609 Church Road, Hegins, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. She was born on Wednesday, December 7, 1932, in Barry Twp, a daughter of the late William E and Mabel C Kehler Carl. She was a employed as a seamstress in area garment factories and had also worked for Romberger's Vineyard, Klingerstown. She was a member of Zion Lutheran "Klinger's" Church, Erdman. Sallie enjoyed crocheting and sewing. Her husband Ray E Knorr, Sr, passed away in 1987. She was also preceded in death by four brothers Raymond, Marlin, James, and Walter Carl; and two sisters Catherine Kessler and Helen Miller. She is survived by a son Ray E Knorr, Jr and his wife Renae of Hegins; three daughters Sheree-Lee Knorr of Hegins, Christine D McCarthy and her husband Jay of Catawissa, Michelle I DiFelice and her husband Rudy of Perkasie; a grandson Duane D Knorr and his wife Mary of Hegins; a granddaughter Salaire N DiFelice of Perkasie; two brothers Albert Carl of Good Spring and Wesley Carl of Hegins; four sisters Florence Lyons of Valley View, Margaret Straub of Berrysburg, Ellen Drumheller of Hamburg, and Carolyn Schaeffer of Tremont; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at Zion Lutheran "Klinger's" Church, Erdman, on Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Jan Mills officiating. Visitation was held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Tuesday at the church. Burial was made in Zion Lutheran "Klinger's" Cemetery, Erdman.
