Click here to view the Video Tribute for Ruth. Ruth N Kieffer, age 68, of 4449 Line Mountain Road, Klingerstown, passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at her residence. She was born on Monday, October 16, 1944, in Pottsville, a daughter of the late Henry and Dorothy Eckler Wedde. She was a 1962 graduate of Tri-Valley High School and a graduate of the Pottsville School of Nursing. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse for Pottsville Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospital for twenty years, and then did home health care for area residents. She was a member of Christ Evangelical and Reformed Church, Leck Kill. Ruth loved her dogs, making crafts, and cooking. She was preceded in death by a son, Paul L Kieffer, Jr; a daughter Lori Ann Kieffer; a brother Robert Wedde; an infant brother; and a sister Janet Lucas. She is survived by her husband Paul L "Butch" Kieffer, to whom she was married for 46 years. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Friday, December 7, 2012, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Mark Rothermel officiating. Visitation was held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Friday at the funeral home. Burial was made in Friedens Cemetery, Hegins.
