Rose E Filosa, age 76, of 322 Fearnot Road, Sacramento, passed away Friday, March 9, 2012 at the Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on Saturday, September 21, 1935, in Brooklyn, NY, a daughter of the late Anthony and Elizabeth Macarsky Pavilonis. Rose was a loving grandmother to her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister Dorothy Maurer. She is survived by her husband Frank E Filosa, to whom she was married for 48 years. She is also survived by two sons Frank E Filosa, II and his wife Lisa of Tower City and Robert J Filosa of Sacramento; three granddaughters Emily Filosa of Tower City, Kaylyn Filosa of Sacramento, and Kassidy Filosa of Sacramento; two grandsons Nicholas Filosa of Tower City and Kent Filosa of Sacramento; and a brother Anthony Pavilonis of Brentwood, NY. Memorial services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, with Rev. Curtis Zemencik officiating. Visitation was held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
