Ronald Lamar "Sonny" Kehler, Sr., age 69, of 6 Fidler Court, Pine Grove, passed away Monday, July 28, 2008 at the Milton S Hershey Medical Center. He was born on Friday, October 28, 1938 in Valley View, a son of the late John and Evelyn (Miller) Kehler. He was a coal miner in area coal mines and had retired from Werner Lumber, Pine Grove . He was a member of Tremont Congregation of Jehovah's Witness. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie L. Kehler on Sept. 9, 2005. He was also preceded in death by two brothers William Kehler and Eugene Berger. He is survived by two sons, Ronald L. "Butch" Kehler, Jr and his wife, Lisa of Tower City and Jeffrey L Kehler and his wife, Hope of Joliett; two grandsons, Michael R Kehler and Kyle N Kehler both of Tower City; two granddaughters, Emily Jo Kehler of Tower City, Brittany L Kehler of Joliett; a brother, John Kehler of Forsyth, Montana; two sisters, Sophie Tietsworth of Hummelstown and Jane Lauver of Manheim; and several nieces and nephews. Services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Saturday, August 2, 2008 at 11 a.m. with Elder Kent Steinmetz officiating. A viewing was held from 9 to 11a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial was made in the Church of God Cemetery, Valley View. Condolences can be left for the family at www.buffingtonreed.com .
