Obituary
Ronald C Mayer, age 74, of Valley View, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at his residence.
He was born on Sunday, October 19, 1941, in Sacramento, a son of the late Cornelius Mayer and the late Irene Stine Mayer.
He was a 1959 graduate of Tri-Valley High School.
He was a truck driver for Quaker State Farms and retired as a truck driver forVan Heusen.
He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Sacramento.
He was also former member the Sacramento Fire Company, the Valley View Fire Company, and the Havice Hunting Camp of Mifflin County.
Ronnie loved hunting, fly fishing, camping, and was an avid NASCAR fan..
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister Pauline J Stahl; and by a brother Warren Mayer.
He is survived by his wife Linda E Mervine Mayer, to whom he was married for 54 years.
He is also survived by a son, Randall L Mayer and his wife Leslie of Hegins; a daughter, Lori A Klinger and her husband Larry of Spring Glen; two grandsons Larry Klinger, Jr and his friend Cayla of Wiconisco and Joshua Mayer of Hegins; two granddaughters, Renee Heim and her husband Rahn of Paxtonville, and Rebecca Klinger of Jonestown; three step grandsons, Larry "CJ" Burlile and his wife Jenn of Frackville, Michael Burlile and his wife Nichole of Girardville, and Keith Burlile of Colorado Springs, CO; great grandchildren, Alexis and Rodney; step great grandchildren, Decon, Maximus, Ayden, Keaton, Savanna, Addison, and Tenna; a niece, Darlene Hepler of Valley View; and his puppy Carmel.
Funeral services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Saturday, December 26, 2015, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Raymond Holland officiating.
A viewing were held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday at the funeral home.
Burial was made in St. Paul's Cemetery, Sacramento.
