Ronald R Hatter, age 61, of 20 Kengrey Drive, Carlisle, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Harrisburg Hospital. He was born on Saturday, March 10, 1951, in Pottsville, a son of the late Leo F and Verna M Schmeltz Hatter. He was a 1969 graduate of Tri-Valley High School. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Health and Physical Education from Otterbein College, Westerville, Ohio. He employed in the physical therapy department at the former Polyclinic Medical Center, Harrisburg, until 1992 when he became disabled. He attended Carlisle Evangelical Free Church, and was a former member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View. He was a former Little League and Teener League baseball coach and a former basketball coach. Ron was an avid hunter, golfer, and bowler. Despite his disability Ron lived the past twenty years with courage, patients, acceptance, and joy, because his life was filled with love. He is survived by his wife Susan B Grubbs, to whom he was married for 20 years. He is also survived by three sons Bradley D Hatter and his wife Tonya of Dalmatia, Connor J Grubbs of Carlisle, and Dakota L Grubbs of Carlisle; two daughters Lori A Neiswender and her husband John of Muncy, and Sam S Grubbs of Carlisle; a granddaughter Kiera Neiswender; a grandson Kaleb Neiswender; a sister Gwen L Wetzel of Sunbury; and a brother Daniel L Hatter of Camp Hill. Memorial services were held at Carlisle Evangelical Free Church, 290 Petersburg Rd, Carlisle, PA 17013, on Sunday, December 2, 2012, at 2:00 pm, with Pastor Shad Baker officiating. Visitation was held from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Monday, December 3, 2012, at Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View. Graveside services were held at 2:00 pm on Monday at St. Andrew's Cemetery, Valley View, with Reverend Duane Bardo officiating. Condolences can be left for the family at
