Romie Oneida Koppenhaver, age 99, passed away on Sept 27th, 2014 in Albuquerque NM. She was born on Sept 3rd, 1915 in Sacramento, PA to the late George and Emma Kimmel.

Romie lived for the last seven years in Albuquerque, NM, but lived the majority of her life in Spring Glen, PA where she attended St Mark's United Methodist Church

Romie was a wonderful woman who loved her family and her God. Her greatest joy was her two grandchildren. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood Koppenhaver, to whom she was married for 56 years. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Howard, Arlen, and Daniel Kimmel; a sister Anna; and an infant child.

Romie is survived by two daughters, Nancy and Rita; a son Kevin; a grandson Derek; and a granddaughter Tiana.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2015, at 3 p.m., at St. Mark's Cemetery, Spring Glen, with Rev. William Danis officiating.

Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, is in charge of arrangements.
