Robert Elmer York, age 79, of 110 S. Third Street, Gratz, Pa. died Saturday, Jan. 17,2004, at Susquehanna Luthern Village. He was born in Atlantic City, N.J. on October 24, 1924, a son of the late Lawrance M. and Lillian (Arbagast) York. He was of Protestant Faith. Surviving are one son Keith York, of New Hope, PA.; five daughters; Frances Fralick, of Gratz, Phyllis Penn, of Gratz, Cheryl Pace, of Bridgeton, N.J., Deborah Vogel, of Mount Joy and Gail Smith, of Delta. He is also survived by one sister, Madeline McMullen, of Bensalem, 27 grandchildren and 23 Great Grandchildren. Services were held at 2 P.M. on Wednesday, Jan 21, 2004 at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., Valley View, Pa. with the Rev. Charles Oldland officiating. Friends were received 1 P.M. on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2004.
