Robert E. Snyder , age 70, of Valley View, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2014 at Penn State Milton S Hershey Medical Center, Hershey. He was born on Friday, July 30, 1943, in Lykens Township, he was a son of the late Charles and Gertrude (Snyder) Snyder. He was a laborer for Pine Grove Homes building cabinetry. Bobby was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View and the Tri-Valley Senior Citizens. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl and Clair Snyder. He is survived by his wife Karen (Scheib) Snyder, to whom he was married for 44 years. He is also survived by two sons, Scott Snyder and his wife Jennifer of Hegins and Randy Snyder of Pottsville; one granddaughter Sarah Snyder and one grandson Logan Snyder; one sister, Lorraine Leitzel of Lykens. Services will be held at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View, on Thursday, April 3, 2014, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Duane Bardo officiating. A viewing will be held from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Thursday at the church. Burial will be made in St. Andrew's Cemetery, Valley View.
