Robert Lamar Snyder, age 81, of 53 School Road Spring Glen, passed away Sunday, December 3rd, 2006, while surrounded by his family. He was born in Klingerstown, on December 19, 1924, a son of the late David and Maude (Schell) Snyder. He was employed as a coal miner for several area coal mines until his retirement. He was an Army veteran of WW II. He was a member of St. Matthew's UCC "Coleman's" Church, Spring Glen. He was a Life member of the Tower City Moose, a Life Member of the Gratz\Lykens Twp. VFW Post 2385, and a member of the Sacramento Fire Company... He is survived by his wife Agnes May (Daniels) Snyder, to whom he was married for 58 years. Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons Merl L Snyder, Tremont and Samuel T Snyder, Spring Glen; a daughter Holly D wife of Ed Kaster, Spring Glen; three grandchildren; three brothers John Snyder, Coaldale, Harold Snyder, Lykens, and Kenneth Snyder, Etters; three sisters Verna Kress, Ft Myers, FL, Betty Graeff, Ft Myers, FL, and Shirley wife of Carl Bowerman, Williamstown. He was preceded in death by a son Joel R. Snyder in 2005, two infant daughters, three brothers, and four sisters. Graveside Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
