Robert H Klouser, age 81, of 928 E Main Street, Hegins, died Friday at his home He was born in Hegins Twp, Schuylkill Co, Pa. on Dec 31, 1923, a son of the late Charles and Katie (Koppenhaver) Klouser. He was an Army veteran of WWII. He was a coal miner and also worked for Kane Steel, Pottsville, Pa until his retirement. He was of the Protestant Faith. He was a member of the VFW Post 8237, American Legion Post 575, both of Valley View, and the Hegins Fire Company. His wife the former Annice Schwalm died in 1979. He is survived by a companion Judy Shutt of Hegins, one daughter Yvonne Specht of Hegins, one sister Naomi Schucker of Millersburg, and three grandchildren Shannon Melideo, Reston VA, Shane Specht, Hyannis, Mass, and Somer Parker, Hershey; and five great grandchldren. Funeral services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral, Valley View, Pa on Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Carl Shankweiler officiating. A viewing was held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home Burial was made in the Church of God Cemetery, Valley View, Pa.
