Robert L Artz, Sr, age 77, of New Berlin, formerly of Hegins, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2025 at his residence.

He was born on Monday, February 2, 1948, in Hegins, a son of the late Herman J Artz and the late Lillian V (Smith) Artz.

He served in the US Army.

Robert was plant manager for the former LandL Pheasant Farm, Hegins.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working in the yard, and spending time with his grandchildren. His famous words were "You do It".

His wife Ruby J (Flannery) Artz, passed away in 2006. He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy M Betz, Miriam Kimmel, and Irene M Artz; and a brother, Marlin E Artz.

He is survived by two sons, Robert L (Annette) Artz, Jr of New Berlin and Jonas E (Kathy) Artz of Valley View; a daughter, Teresa M (Jason) Howard of Mifflinburg; eleven grandchildren Deven, Logan, Jacksyn, Kurt, Zachary, Samantha, Dakota, Jayce, Rachelle, Julie, and Nathaniel; nine great grandchildren, Jaelyn, Azaela, Kai, McKenna, Freya, Ruby, Abigail, Scarlett, and Emmalie; two brothers, Mervin F Artz of Williamstown and Richard R (Ruth) Artz of Tremont .

Graveside services will be held at Friedens Cemetery, Hegins, on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 1:00 pm, with Rev. Benjamin Scholl officiating.
