Click here to view the Video Tribute for Rick. Richard K "Rick" Kline, age 57, of 11 Hemlock Drive, Valley View, passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at his residence. He was born on Saturday, September 8, 1956, in Pottsville, a son of Nancy L Scheib Kline of ValleyView and the late Roy W Kline. He was a 1974 graduate of Tri-Valley High School and had attended Harrisburg Area Community College and the University of Nevada Las Vegas. He served in the US Air Force. He retired from The Hershey Company. He was a member of Friedens Lutheran Church, where he was very active in various fund raisers for the Building Fund, along with serving as head usher and a former church council member. He was treasurer for 18 years for the Uf und Druf Hunting Camp of Sullivan County. He was a member of the White Ash Land Association, Sullivan County, the Valley View Gun Club, and the Veteran's Home Association. Rick was a former football coach and was the public announcer for 15 years for all of the Tri-Valley home football games. He was an assistant coach for the Tri-Valley Girls Softball Team. Rick was an ASA Softball Umpire and had also coached the girls softball summer leagues and fall ball. He was a member of the former Pine Valley Men's Modified Softball Team. Rick enjoyed spending time with his son AJ golfing and watching movies. He is survived by his wife Mary Lou Bosack Kline, to whom he was married for 29 years. Surviving in addition to his mother and his wife are a daughter Kate E Herb and her husband Derek of Pitman; a son Adam "AJ" Kline of Valley View; a sister Ann E Miller of Valley View; two brother in laws George Bosack and his wife Jane of Llewellyn and Ronald "Stoney" Miller of Hegins; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at Friedens Lutheran Church, 510 East Main Street, Hegins, on Saturday, January 4, 2014, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Warren Egebo officiating. A viewing was held from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday at the church. Burial with Military Honors was made in Friedens Cemetery, Hegins. Memorial contributions can be made to the Tri-Valley Athletic Fund for Softball and Football, Tri-Valley District Office 155 E Main Street, Hegins PA 17938 or to the Friedens Lutheran Church Building Fund, P.O.
