Phyllis E. Scheib , age 84, of 411 W. Main St, Valley View, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2013 at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Reading. She was born on Saturday, July 20, 1929, in Fearnot, a daughter of the late Francis E. and Blanche Paul. She was employed at local garment factories. She was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church Valley View. She enjoyed quilting, reading, and attending her children and grandkid's sporting events. She was preceded in death by brothers Francis, Robert and James Paul and a sister, Dolly Brosius. She is was preceded in death by her husband Robert B Scheib. She is survived by a daughter Susan Ruhl and her husband Tim of SC; four sons Chaplin Glenn Scheib and his wife Cindy of HI, Steven Scheib and his wife Tammie of Harrisburg, Gary Scheib and his wife Sally of TX and Kevin Scheib and his wife Alice of Hegins; seventeen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; two sisters Betty Freeman and Joan Shade; a brother Gerald Paul. Services were held at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View, on Friday, August 23, 2013, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Duane Bardo officiating. A visitation was from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Friday at the church. Burial was made in St. Peter's Cemetery, Fearnot.
