Peggy Jane Miller age 58, of 1106 W Main Street, Valley View, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2014 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

She was born on Thursday, July 28, 1955, in Pottsville, a daughter of Vera I Schwalm Kimmel of Valley View and the late Mark A Kimmel.

She was a 1973 graduate of Tri-Valley High School and a graduate of the former Polyclinic School of Radiology, Harrisburg.

She had worked for seven years as an X-ray Technician at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Pottsville. She and her husband currently own and operate Miller's Hardware, Valley View.

She was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View; where she was a member of the choir.

She was also a member of the Johannes Schwalm Historical Association.

Peggy enjoyed sewing, gardening, traveling, and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her father and a sister Doris Kimmel.

She is survived by her husband Larry R Miller, to whom she was married for 38 years.

She is also survived by two daughters, Jennifer J Kerstetter and her husband Kyle of Spring Glen and Kelly M Carter and her husband Charles, Jr. of Valley View; two granddaughters, Angela M Carter of Valley View and Hailey P Kerstetter of Spring Glen; a brother, Glenn M Kimmel of Middlesex; a sister, Carol A Shuey of Hegins; a niece and three nephews.

Funeral services were held at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View, on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Duane Bardo officiating.

A viewing was held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Wednesday at the church.

Burial was made in St. Andrew's Cemetery, Valley View.
