Obituary

Paul I Stiely, age 75, of Leck Kill, passed away Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Penn State Milton S Hershey Medical Center, Hershey.

He was born on Monday, November 28, 1949, in Rough And Ready, a son of the late Harry A Stiely and the late Evelyn (Klinger) Stiely.

He was a 1969 graduate of Line Mountain High School.

Paul served in the US Marines during the Vietnam War.

He was a truck driver and lifelong farmer, prior to his retirement.

Paul was a member of Salem Church of Rough and Ready.

He was also a member of American Legion Post 504 Herndon.

Paul enjoyed farming, working on tractors, watching Gun Smoke, and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Tyann A Schneider; a son, John E Sherry; and sixteen siblings.

He is survived by his wife Ruth Ann (Zimmerman) Stiely, to whom he was married for 26 years.

He is also survived by a son, Jason C (Amanda) Sherry of Erdman; grandson, John D (Mackenzie) Sherry, Jr of Millersburg; two granddaughters, Sydney S Schneider of Augustaville, Vada H Sherry of Erdman; great grandson, John A P Sherry of Millersburg; brother, Robert Wertz of Halifax; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Inc, Valley View, on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at 1 pm, with Rev. Mark Rothermel officiating.

A viewing will be held from noon to 1 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Burial with Military Honors will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
