Nancy J. Shadle, age 77, of 1041 W Main Street, Valley View, formerly of Clarks Valley, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2011 at her sons residence. She was born on Wednesday, July 26, 1933, in Valley View, a daughter of the late Harold Klinger and Ethel (Beard) Klinger. She was a 1951 graduate of the former Hegins Twp High School. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion, Harry Headder Post, Tower City and a life member of the Tower City Fire Company. She was preceded in death by her husband Dale K Shadle, Sr. in 2003. She is survived by son William H Messner of Valley View; a step son Dale K Shadle, Jr of Mechanicsburg; a daughter Melissa J Smith of Bloomsburg; a step daughter Darrla Tolley of Pffoftown, NC; a grandson Jeremy A Messner of Etters; a granddaughter Leah M Smith of Williamstown; a step grandson Brent K Shadle; a step granddaughter Tina M Tolley of North Carolina; a sister Inez Deeter of Lewistown; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, on Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at 11:30 AM, with Rev. Curtis Zemencik officiating. A viewing was held from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM on Wednesday at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View. Burial was made in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, was in charge of arrangements.
