Myron "Mike" Lee Zerbe, age 80, of 1601 W Main St, Valley View, died Friday, January 13th, 2006 at his residence. He was born in Valley View, Pa on September 29, 1925, a son of the late Benjamin W and Merle M (Seiler) Zerbe. He was a graduate of the former Hegins Twp High School. He retired as a Clerk for the Schuylkill County Treasurers Office, Pottsville. He was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View, where he was the Secretary of the Men's Bible Class, Sunday School Teacher for 32 years, cemetery Secretary since 1957, and a former Sunday School Superintendent. He was the Secretary of the Valley View Park, former Sec of the Valley View Fire Company, active with the Tri-Valley Food Closet, active with Tri-Valley Charities, and a former member of the Tri-Valley School Board. He is survived by two brothers Henry P Zerbe, Sodus Point, NY and Jesse S Zerbe, Valley View; by three sisters Frances Bowman, Bellaire, Md., Sally Sleath, York, and Patsy Zerbe, Pougheski, NY.; and by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers Woodrow, Reuben, and Jay Zerbe. Memorial Services were held at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View, at 4p.m. on Saturday, January 21st, with Rev. George Reynolds officiating. Burial was made in St. Andrew's Cemetery, Valley View. Memorial contributions can be made to the Valley View Park Association, Valley View PA 17983.
