Monroe Joel Shadle, age 76, of 698 E Mountain Road, Hegins, died Sunday, July 16th, 2006 at the Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center, Tremont. He was born in Hegins Twp, on October 31, 1929, a son of the late William and Susan E (Savidge) Shadle. He was a 1947 graduate of the former Hegins Twp High School. He was a member of F&AM Valley Lodge 797 Valley View.. He was a member of Christ United Church of Christ, Fountain. He is survived by his wife Annis M (Huntsinger) Shadle, to whom he was married for 55 years Surviving in addition to his wife are a son Thomas M husband of Sharon Shadle, Hegins; a daughter Joanne P Schwalm, Hegins; three grandsons Michael N Schwalm, Quinlan, Texas, Joel T Shadle, Arlington, VA, and Jesse P Shadle, Hegins; and a granddaughter Jennifer S Shadle, Hegins. He was preceded in death by three sisters Ruby Shadle, Ferne Snyder, and Pearl Shadle. Graveside Memorial Services were held at Fountain Community Cemetery, Fountain, at 11 A.M. on Saturday, July 22nd, with Rev. Claude Schach officiating. Interment was made in Fountain Community Cemetery. There will be no viewing or visitation Family request donations to Christ United Church of Christ, P.O. Box 57, Hegins PA 17938.
