Mary Irene Scheib, age 94, of 927 W Maple Street, Valley View, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2009 at Waterbridge at Pine Grove. She was born on Friday, March 19, 1915 in Donaldson a daughter of the late Joseph Degler and the late Laura (Young) Degler. She was a 1932 graduate of the former Tremont High School. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gurney D Scheib in 1987 and by a brother James Degler. She is survived by a son, Clair W Scheib of Valley View; a daughter, Karen E Snyder and her husband, Robert of Valley View; two grandsons, Randy C Snyder of Schuylkill Haven and Scott M Snyder and his wife Jennifer of Hegins; a great granddaughter, Sarah J Snyder of Hegins; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Philip Sabas officiating.
