Click here to view the Video Tribute for Marvin Marvin H Klinger, age 84, of 2627 Main Street, Spring Glen, passed away Monday, August 15, 2011 at his residence. He was born on Sunday, June 26, 1927, in Spring Glen, a son of the late Franklin and Ellen Lettich Klinger. He was a 1945 graduate of the former Hubley Twp High School. He was employed as a mechanic for Stanford Carl of Spring Glen and retired as a mechanic from Pine Creek Coal Company. He was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church, Spring Glen. He was also a member of F&AM Valley Lodge 797, Valley View, the Harrisburg Consistory, Rajah Temple, Reading, and the Sacramento Fire Company. Marvin enjoyed woodcarving, spending time with his family, and was a fan of the Phillies. He was preceded in death by an infant son David Klinger and by 11 siblings. He is survived by his wife Eleanor E (Miller) Klinger, to whom he was married for 65 years. He is also survived by a son Donald M Klinger and his wife Cindy of Monongahela; a daughter Ann L Hepler and her husband Jeffrey of Sacramento; three grandsons Bradley D Hatter of Millersburg, Todd J Klinger of Charleroi, and Jeffrey M Klinger of Monongahela; a granddaughter Lori A Neiswender of Muncy; 5 great grandchildren; a brother Robert Klinger of Valley View; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at St. Mark's United Methodist Church, Spring Glen, on Friday, August 19, 2011, at 11:00 am, with Rev. William Danis officiating. A viewing was held from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Friday at the church. Masonic services were held at 10:00 am on Friday at the church. Burial was made in St. Mark's Cemetery, Spring Glen.
