Click here to view the Video Tribute for Margaret Margaret Josephine Welker, age 100, of Locustdale, formerly of Elizabethville, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2011 at the home of her niece, with whom she resided in Locustdale. She was born on Wednesday, September 7, 1910, in Gratz, a daughter of the late Ferdinand C and Katie A (Wolfgang) Enders. She was a seamstress for the former Elizabethville Shirt Company. She was a member of Zion Lutheran "Klinger's" Church, Erdman. She was also a member of the Democratic Club of Upper Dauphin County, the Pennsylvania Voters Hall of Fame, and the Elizabethville Senior Citizens. Margaret was and avid pinocle and rummy player. She followed the Phillies since 1935. Margaret collected Hummel's, glass slippers, and Lenox birds. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph M Welker in 1961. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, June Mary Welker; a son, Ralph Lamar Welker; two sisters, Mary Ellen Regitz and Joanna E Schrawder; a brother, Marlin E Enders; and a companion, David W Keiffer. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at Zion Lutheran "Klinger's" Church, Erdman, on Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Jan Mills officiating. A viewing was held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday at Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the church.
