Mae E Artz, age 98, of Spring Glen, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at the Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center, Pottsville. She was born on Saturday, May 15, 1909 in Hubley Twp, a daughter of the late William and Nora (Umholtz) Dunleavy. She was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church,Valley View. She was also a member of the Tri-Valley Senior Citizens and a former member of the Senior Citizens Dutch Chorus. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eston C Artz, who passed away in 1970. She is survived by two sons, Mark L Artz and his wife, Phyllis of Valley View and Warren E Artz and his wife, Josephine of Fearnot; four grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Services were held at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View, on Saturday, January 26, 2008 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Philip Sabas officiating. A viewing was held Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m at the church. Burial was made in St. Andrew's Cemetery, Valley View.
