Lloyd George Snyder, age 78, of 22 Snyder Rd., Hegins, died Friday, July 8th, 2005 at Good Samaritan Reg. Med. Cen., Pottsville. He was born in Valley View, Pa on November 19, 1926, a son of the late Lloyd G and Beulah (Herb) Snyder. He was a 1944 graduate of the former Hegins Twp. High School. He was a self employed farmer. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of Friedens Lutheran Church, Hegins. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Alice C (Miller) Snyder. Surviving in addition to his wife are a son Lloyd "Buzzy" G, III, husband of Cindy Snyder, Hegins; a daughter Susan L wife of William Bixler, Hegins, ; two grandsons Troy E Snyder, Halifax, and Travis L Snyder, Hegins, ; one granddaughter Katrina L Tobash, Valley View, one great granddaughter Alexius M Snyder, Halifax; two sisters Elma Maurer, Hegins, and Renee Blanksby, New Cumberland; one brother John R Herb, Dalmatia. He was preceded in death by a grandson Clint W Bixler in 2000. Memorial Services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, Pa. at 7p.m. on Monday, July 11th, with Rev. Warren Egebo officiating. Visitation was held on Monday from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
