Lloyd John Klinger , age 72, of 477 Valley Road, Hegins, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2014 at the Schuylkill Medical Center- E Norwegian, Pottsville. He was born on Saturday, April 12, 1941, in Ashland, a son of Dorothy A Bush Klinger of Hegins and the late Warren H Klinger, Sr. He was a 1958 graduate of Tri-Valley High School. He served in the US Air Force as a Military Police Officer. He was a member of Friedens Lutheran Church, Hegins. Lloyd enjoyed bowling, baseball, playing cards, soduko, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was an avid fan of the Phillies. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Kevin J Klinger. He is survived by his wife Darlene D Ebert Klinger, to whom he was married for 46 years. Surviving in addition to his mother and his wife are two sons Christopher A Klinger and his wife Tammy of Hegins and Wayne M Klinger and his wife Kristie of Hegins; two daughters Melonie R Klinger of Hegins and Andrea L Klinger of Spring Glen; seven grandchildren; four brothers Warren Klinger, Jr of New Britain, Richard Klinger of Stroudsburg, Donald Klinger of Hegins, and John Klinger of Hegins; three sisters Kay Masser of Valley View, Susan Rowland of Ft. Collins, CO, and Peggy Erdman of Bonita Springs, FL; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Saturday, March 8, 2014, at 11:00 am, with Rev. William Danis officiating, assisted by Rev. Gerald Frey, Rev. Brad Hatter, and Rev. Warren Egebo. Visitation was held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, March 8, 2014, at the funeral home. Burial with military honors was made in Friedens Cemetery, Hegins, on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 1p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to American Cancer Society. Pennsylvania Division, P.O.
