Lewis J "Jim" Wolfe, age 73, of 6 Reservoir Road, Hegins, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at his residence. He was born on Thursday, December 1, 1938, in Danville, a son of the late Edwin F and Mildred P Latsha Wolfe. He was a 1956 graduate of the former Mahanoy Joint High School. He served in the US Air Force. After being discharged from the Air Force he worked at Ed Wolfe's Meats, then Brosious Motors, and then Sunbury Motors until his retirement. He currently worked part time for Bixler's Meats. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley View. He was also a member of the Valley View Fire Company, Valley View Gun Club, F&AM Herndon Lodge 702, the Pioneer Club Hunting Camp of Center County for 46 years, and a former member of the Herndon Fire Company for over thirty years. Jim enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his first wife Rita E LeboWolfe in 1991. He is survived by his wife Nancy J Wetzel Wolfe, to whom he was married for 18 years. He is also survived by a son Douglas J Wolfe and his wife Kathy of Dalmatia; a daughter Christiana A Levan and her husband David of Herndon; 2 step sons Scott A Sitlinger of Duncannon and Alan T Sitlinger of Denver; three grandsons Chad Levan, Nathan Levan, and Cole Sitlinger; four granddaughters Allison Wolfe, Tori Wolfe, Abby Wolfe, and Emma Sitlinger; and a sister Sharon Ditty of Elizabethville. Funeral services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Monday, May 14, 2012, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Gerald Frey officiating. Visitation was held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Monday at the funeral home. There will be no viewing. Burial was made in Herndon Cemetery, Herndon.
