Lester L. Buffington, age 67, of 240 Rumshtown Road, Lykens Twp, passed away Monday, April 28, 2008 at his residence. He was born on Monday, April 14, 1941 in Lykens Twp, a son of the late Lester M. and Hilda E (Koppenhaver) Buffington. He was a 1959 graduate of the former Upper Dauphin Joint High School, Elizabethville. He was a self employed truck driver and farmer. He was a member of St. Matthew's "Coleman's" UCC Church, Spring Glen. He is survived by his wife, Shirley M.(Fey) Buffington, to whom he was married for 45 years. He is also survived by two sons, Lynn L Buffington and his wife Bernadette of Spring Glen and Duane S Buffington and his wife Kristin of Leck Kill; six grandchildren Nicholas, Rebecca, Brianna, Raechel, Jaimarie, and Kaleb; a brother, Dennis W Buffington of Harrisburg; and a sister, Dolores F Wiest of Hegins. Services were private at the convenience of the family at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, with Chaplain Betty Fundalewicz officiating.
