Leroy A Stiely, of 2275 E Main Street, Sacramento, passed away Saturday, November 1, 2014 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
He was born on Tuesday, November 30, 1926, in Sacramento, a son of the late Allen Stiely and Leura Rebuck Stiely.
He was a 1944 graduate of the former Hubley Twp High School.
He served in the US Army during World War II.
He was a self employed truck driver prior to his retirement.
He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Sacramento.
He was also a Life Member of American Legion Post 575 Valley View.
Leroy enjoyed woodworking and crafts.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by a grandson Jeffery Stiely.
He is survived by his wife Diana M Hepler Stiely, to whom he was married for 66 years.
He is also survived by a son, Dennis L Stiely and his wife Abbie of Valley View; a grandson, Michael Stiely of Valley View; two granddaughters, Amy Schwalm and her husband Terry of Hegins, and Beth Coleman and her husband Shawn of Hegins; and four great-grandchildren, Emily and Dawson Schwalm, and Rylee and Chase Coleman.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, with Rev. Raymond Holland officiating.
Burial will be made in St. Paul's Cemetery, Sacramento.
