Leroy A Scheib, age 85, of 207 W Maple Street, Valley View, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2014 at his residence.

He was born on Saturday, July 13, 1929, in Berrysburg, a son of the late Ray Scheib and Beulah Smeltz Scheib.

He was a retired truck driver.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran "Klinger's" Church, Erdman.

Leroy enjoyed taking care of his lawn, gardening, his Thunderbird, and spending time with his family.

Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were a brother, Harold "Buddy" Scheib.

He is survived by his wife Shirley C Wiest Scheib, to whom he was married for 56 years.

He is also survived by two sons, Gary L Scheib and his wife Gail of Williamstown, Timothy L Scheib and his wife Kelly of Millersburg; four grandsons, Randy Carl, Timothy Carl, Samuel Scheib, and Ryan Scheib; a granddaughter, Abigail Scheib; two great grandsons, Timothy Carl and William Carl; a great granddaughter, Jennifer Carl; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services where held at Zion Lutheran "Klinger's" Church, Erdman, on Wednesday, August 6, 2014, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Jonathan Jenkins officiating.

A viewing was held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Wednesday at the church.

Burial was made in Zion Lutheran "Klinger's" Cemetery.
