Leroy Albert Knorr, Jr, age 69, of 526 Broad Street Hegins, passed away Tuesday, July 17th, 2007 at the Pottsville Hospital. He was born in Kulpmont, on October 2, 1937, a son of Helen N (Miller) Knorr of Hegins and the late Leroy A Knorr, Sr. He was a 1955 graduate of the former Hegins Twp High School. He was a self employed coal miner. He was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ, Hegins. He was preceded in death by an infant son Joseph. Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife Patricia A (Artz) Knorr, to whom he was married for 50 years; a daughter Karen L Lesher and her husband Robert of Grantville; a son Kenneth L Knorr and his wife Wendy of Lavelle; a grandson Robert L Lesher and his wife Allison of Hegins; and his dog Skeeter. Memorial Services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 23rd. Visitation was held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
