Leroy Franklin Klinger, age 71, of 73 Mill Road, Ashland, passed away Saturday, December 2nd, 2006 at his residence. He was born in Carlstown, on June 6, 1935, a son of the late Russell and Lillian (Carl) Klinger. He was employed as a coal miner in several area coal mines until his retirement. He is survived by his wife Arlene J. (Neumeister) Klinger, to whom he was married for 46 years Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons Leroy I Klinger and Thomas R Klinger, both of Barry Twp, and Peter L Klinger, Locust Dale; six daughters Christine A Klinger, Johanna K Rock, and Connie J Klinger all of Barry Twp., Alice A Schucker, Hegins, Joyce A Adams and Molly A Pinkerton, both of Williamstown; by fourteen grandchildren, three sisters, and four brothers. Funeral services were held at the Weishample Church of God, Weishample, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 6th, with Rev. John Ashbaugh and Rev. John Clough officiating. A viewing was held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the church. Burial was made in the Weishample Church of God Cemetery. Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, was in charge of arrangements.
