Leonard Lorraine Minnich, age 83, of the Hawthorne Home, Reading, formerly of Hegins, Pa and Salisbury, Md., died Friday, October 6th, 2006 at the Hawthorne Home. He was born in Hegins, on December 3, 1922, a son of the late Charles W and Lula R (Kimmel) Minnich. He was a 1940 graduate of the former Hegins Twp. High School. He was a retired Welder and Salesman of Welding Products. His wife Florence D (Hacker) Minnich died in 2002. He was also preceded in death by two brothers Aaron W Minnich and Charles M Minnich. He is survived by three brothers Lamar E Minnich, Levittown, Jesse R Minnich, Mohrsville, and James A Minnich, Wernersville; by a sister Shirley A Steffy, Shillington; and by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 10th, with Rev. Warren Egebo officiating. A viewing was held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home Burial was made in Friedens Cemetery, Hegins. Memorial contributions can be made to the Salvation Army.
