Leonard Irvin Kessler, age 71, of 8676 Rt 25, Spring Glen, Pa. died Saturday, April 16th, 2005 at his residence. He was born in Hegins, Pa on June 28, 1933, a son of the late Charles T and Elsie M. (Sweinhart) Kessler. He was a 1951 graduate of the former Hegins Twp High School. He was a Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He retired as an Inspection Supervisor at the former Fruehauf Corporation Middletown, Pa. Surviving are his wife Verna J (Mattern) Kessler to whom he was married for 46 years Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters Beverly A Hockenberry, Shermansdale, Pa and Holly J Jury, Elizabethville, Pa; one brother Charles T Kessler, Jr., Hegins, Pa.; two sisters Lorraine Schwalm, Valley View, Pa and Betty Klinger, Hernando, Florida.; three grandchildren, and a great grandson. He was preceded in death by an infant son. Funeral services were held at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Sacramento, Pa at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 20th, with Rev. Edward Fisher officiating. A viewing was held from Noon to 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the church. Burial was be made in St. Paul's Cemetery, Sacramento, Pa The family requests donations be made to St. Paul's UCC Church Sacramento PA 17978.
