Click here to view the Video Tribute for "Farley" Lawrence Stover "Farley" Geist, age 81, of 293 E Mountain Rd. Hegins, passed away Thursday, May 17th, 2007 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. He was born in Hegins Twp, Schuylkill County, on January 21, 1926, a son of the late Thomas Jefferson and Lottie (Stover) Geist. He was a graduate of the former Hegins Twp High School. He was the former owner of L.S.Geist Trucking, Hegins. He was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ, Hegins. He was a former member of the Hegins Fire Co. and the Valley View Fire Co. He was also an avid card player. His wife Anna L (Miller) Geist died in 2001. He is survived by a son Maynard L. husband of Patsy Geist of Hegins; by three daughters Charlotte A wife of Dennis Klinger of Millersburg, Joan L Dunkle of Hegins, and Kathleen M Masters of Hegins; a sister Gloria F Geist of Yucaipa, Calif.; by eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother Rudolph Geist. Funeral services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, Pa, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday May 22nd, with Rev. Claude Schach officiating. A viewing was held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial was made in Friedens Cemetery, Hegins.
