Click here to view the Video Tribute for Laura Laura Edna Long, age 104, of 10 Bellmore Road Camp Hill, formerly of Gratz, passed away Sunday, July 15th, 2007 at her residence. She was born in Leck Kill, on August 3, 1902, a daughter of the late David and Maria (Hoch) Paul. She was educated in the Paul's School in Leck Kill and attended the former Bloomsburg Normal School. She retried as a seamstress from the former Dormar Manufacturing Co of Gratz in 1968. She was a member of the Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America and was active in local senior citizen centers. Her husband Samuel F Long died in 1966. She was also preceded in death by three daughters Grace Doyle, Esther Shiffer, and Ruth Lilly; two grandsons Craig Long and Robert Shiffer; and three sons-in-law James Doyle, Charles Runkle, and Kermit Wiest She is survived by four daughters Irene Runkle of Valley View, Blanche Wiest of Harrisburg, Sally Shade and her husband Jim of Elizabethville, and Karen Long of Camp Hill; two sons Clair Long and his wife Louise of Millersburg and Mark Long and his wife Brenda of Gratz; two sons-in-law Irvin Shiffer of Millersburg and Dennis Lilly of Camp Hill; twenty seven grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, at 11 a.m. on Saturday July 21 st, with Rev. John Good officiating. Visitation was held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial was made in Maple Grove Cemetery, Elizabethville.
