Kenneth L Metzinger, age 73, of 114 N 4th Street, Minersville, passed away Friday, June 24, 2011 at his residence. He was born on Saturday, January 29, 1938, in Ashland, a son of the late Harry and Edith (Stivittis) Metzinger. He was a graduate of the former Butler Twp High School. He retired as a truck driver for James W Quandel and Sons, Inc, Minersville. He was of the Protestant Faith. He was a member of VFW Post 8237 of Valley View, the Valley View Gun Club, and the Good Fellowship Club of Ashland. Kenny loved country music and was a former member of area dart leagues. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Roger Metzinger and Wayne Metzinger. He is survived by his wife Jeanette J (Kehler) Metzinger. He is also survived by a daughter Franca S Dalibor of Bloomsburg; a grandson Uwe R Dalibor of Bloomsburg; a granddaughter Natasha S Dalibor of Bloomsburg; a sister Jane Ann Hepler of Ashland; and a brother Eugene Metzinger of Ashland. Funeral services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Tuesday, June 28, 2011, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Curtis Zemencik officiating. A viewing was held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial was made in the Church of God Cemetery, Weishample.
