Kenneth H. Shadle, age 82, of 718 W Maple Street, Valley View, Pa died Monday, January 24th, 2005 at the Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center, Tremont, Pa.. He was born in Fountain, Pa on April 2, 1922, a son of the late Homer A and Carrie H (Stutzman) Shadle. He was a 1940 graduate of the former Hegins Twp. High School and a graduate of Coyne Electrical School of Chicago, IL He was a retired electrician from Alcoa Aluminum Cressona Pa. He was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church Valley View, Pa. He was also a member F&AM Valley View Lodge 797, Valley View, the Harrisburg Consistory, the 25 yr. Club of Alcoa Aluminum, and the Pottsville Ostomy Club.. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Elsie E. (Stutzman) Shadle. Surviving in addition to his wife are a son William K. husband of Jane Shadle, Moon Twp., Pa.; three granddaughters Erica L Fouss, Columbus, Ohio, Christina J. Shadle, Louisville, KY, and Anne E Shadle, Delaware, Ohio; and one sister Gladys I Stutzman, Media, Pa.. He was preceded in death by three brothers Melvin, Wayne, and Russell Shadle. Funeral services were held at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View, PA. at 11 A.M. on Friday, January 28th, with Rev. George Reynolds officiating. A viewing was held on Friday from 9 to 11 A.M. at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church Masonic Services were held at 10 a.m. on Friday at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church by Valley Lodge 797. Burial was made in Fountain Community Cemetery, Fountain, Pa. The family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 3544 N Progress, Ave, Suite 205 Harrisburg PA 17110 . Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, was in charge of arrangements.
