Obituary

Kendall Craig Hepler, age 41, of 435 S Goodspring Road, Hegins, Pa, died Tuesday, Oct. 28,2003, at his home. He was born on Dec. 2, 1961 in Pottsville, Pa, a son of Kenneth and Geraldine (Hentz) Hepler of Valley View, Pa. He was a 1979 graduate of Tri-Valley High School and a graduate of Williamsport Community College. He was employed as a welder for Dana Corporation of Reading untill becoming ill. He was a member and Past Master of F&AM Lodge 797 of Valley View and a member of the Harrisburg Consistory. He was also a member of the Valley View Gun Club, the Valley View Fire Company, the Dutchman's Hunting Camp of Bradford County, a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 575 Valley View, and a member of the National Rifle Association. Surviving in addition to his parents are his daughter Kendra J. Hepler of Valley View; two sisters Gretchen, wife of Keith Zerbe of Valley View and Kelsey, wife of Pete Arbogast of Valley View; two nieces Missy, wife of Jeff Spatzer and Bethany Runkle; a nephew Matthew Runkle; and a great nephew Tanner Spatzer. Funeral services were held on Saturday, Nov 1, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. from the St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View, with the Rev. George Reynolds officiating A viewing was held from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, Nov 1, at the church. Masonic services were held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, Nov 1, at the church. Memorial contributions can be made to the Kendra J Hepler Scholarship Fund, c/o Gratz National Bank, P.O. Box 816, Valley View, PA 17983. Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, 200 W Main St, Valley View, is in charge of arrangements.
