Obituary

Keith Albert Strohecker December 29, 1955 - September 29, 2026

Keith Albert Strohecker, 70, passed away peacefully at his home on September 29, 2026. A devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. Keith was a kind and gentle man with a warm heart and a wonderful sense of humor. He was deeply loved by his family and many friends and will be missed beyond words.

Keith was a devoted and loving husband to his wife, Susanne Strohecker, with whom he shared 37 years of marriage. Above all else, Keith was a devoted family man. The time he spent surrounded by those he loved was among his greatest joys.

Keith is survived by his daughters, Andrea Koch of St. Clair, Pennsylvania, and Heather Ruscavage of Minersville, Pennsylvania; his stepson, Edward Joseph Hunt III; and his grandchildren, Amber Snody of Pottsville, Mackenzie Stotelmyer of Pottsville, and Angel Strohecker of Mifflinburg, Pennsylvania, Laura Hunt of Pottsville and Shayne Hunt of Pottsville; his beloved great-grandchildren, Addilyn, Declan, James and Delilah.

Keith is also survived by his sister, Bonnie and her spouse, George Bahr of NC; his two brothers, Ted Strohecker and his wife, Pat from Valley View, PA, and Richard Strohecker and his wife, Terry of NC; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and cherished friends.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Jane Kreiling and Albert Lamar Strohecker and his stepson, Thomas Matthew Hunt.

Keith was a hardworking man who spent part of his career working in the coal mines and many years as a welder, working on large manufactured trucks. He took pride in working with his hands and providing for the family.

Those who knew Keith will remember him for much more than the work he did. He was a kind, gentle, soft-hearted, and loving man who enjoyed laughing, joking, and bringing smiles to those around him. He was loved by many and formed friendships that he treasured throughout his life.

Keith had a great love for the outdoors and especially enjoyed hunting, bow hunting, and fishing. Most of all, he treasured spending time with his family, his grandchildren, and his beloved wife, Susanne. He was also a member of St. Andrew's Church in Valley View, Pennsylvania.

Keith will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father, grandfather, great-grand father, a hardworking man, and a cherished friend. His kindness, gentle spirit, sense of humor, and deep love for his family will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life honoring Keith's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 12, 2026, at St. Andrew's Church, 900 W Main St, Valley View, PA 17983, with Rev. Burd- Harris officiating.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. on Monday, October 12, 2026, at St. Andrew's Church in Valley View.
